We are pleased to announce that ICS Sarajevo has successfully completed the transition and full alignment with the requirements of ISO/IEC 27006-1:2024.
This standard specifies requirements for bodies providing audit and certification of Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) in accordance with ISO/IEC 27001, including requirements related to auditor competence, consistency of auditing processes, impartiality, risk management, and integrity of certification decisions.
Alignment with ISO/IEC 27006-1:2024 represents a key element within the international accreditation infrastructure, in accordance with the principles of the European co-operation for Accreditation (EA) and the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) Multilateral Recognition Arrangement (MLA), ensuring international recognition and acceptance of certifications issued by accredited certification bodies.
The transition has been implemented in line with applicable accreditation requirements, including ISO/IEC 17021-1, ISO/IEC 27001, and ISO/IEC 27006-1:2024, ensuring adherence to core principles of competence, consistency, impartiality, and transparency in management system certification.
This achievement further strengthens ICS Sarajevo’s position within the international accreditation framework, confirming compliance with EA MLA and IAF MLA requirements and enhancing trust among clients, regulators, and international stakeholders.
